Accountant Required in Dubai Principle Functions: This position will be responsible for timely recording & capitalization of corporation’s fixed assets from CWIP, reconciliations and ensuring assets are created as per process, policy and applicable IFRS. Duties & responsibilities: Capitalization of projects upon receipt of completion certificates Prechecks and Validation of Capitalization of assets Preparation of data for capitalization and analyzes it for variances and discrepancies to ensure accurate classification and recording of assets in respective categories and capex / opex bifurcations. Liaison with end users and budgeting teams for followup on CWIP items for capitalization. To provide support and challenge to the business around capital expenditure and projects Responsible as 1st point if contact for resolution of queries with other stakeholders (SM Engineering/IT/CWS/Fleet/Digital) & to ensure all necessary Project related information are obtained & as part of the best practice financial controls Ensure accurate recording and reporting of project accounting. Challenge stakeholders on integrity of data provided for reporting and accounting to ensure the integrity of our accounts. Work with the Senior Manager FA/PA in implementing improvements in process efficiencies and effectiveness. Support in enhancing & automating appropriate controls in projects & capital expenditure to ensure accurate and robust reporting while continually improving efficiency. Capable of driving improved reporting from existing tools (e.g. Oracle PA, PMP (Capex Reporting Database) to reduce manual work-around and provide timely, accurate information to key stakeholders. Integral in maintaining compliance to required Etisalat processes and controls as set out in the Etisalat Accounting & Finance manual Prepare necessary journals for month-end financial close Any other special assignments that may be given from time to time by the Management Requirements: Professional Accountancy qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA.
