Primary role
Perform recording to reporting (R2R) of all financial transactions in the books of accounts as per the relevant policies levied by IFRS and the UAE Government.
Secondary role
Perform administrative functions and support the group in its growth and development strategy.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS
Account for accruals; prepayments and recharges either in the system or manually as appropriate to ensure accounts are correctly reflected in financial books. Maintain the General Journal and General Ledger.
Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and general ledger accounts ensuring that all matching entries are offset, and genuine outstanding are investigated and highlighted to the Manager with recommendations for corrective action.
Prepare and maintain Bank Payment vouchers and Petty cash vouchers and ensure enough petty cash is maintained in the company.
Analyze and identify cases where sales have not been reported to the company from relevant reports and promptly refer these cases to the Manager to enable remedial action to be taken to minimize financial risk.
Verify supplier and contract/service-based invoices; or credit card transactions with reference to supporting documents to ensure validity of the liability or transaction booked.
Assist in the consolidation of the financial statements of all subsidiaries as per IFRS.
Co-ordinate with relevant internal finance units to enable the processing of payment runs relating to payroll; reimbursements; supplier payments and service providers as per schedule. Ensure data/ files are received on time and uploaded correctly into the system for generation of reports and bank transfer listings or cheques. Generate necessary accounting entries either through the system or manually to support these activities.
Perform ad hoc administrative functions such as contract management/review, supplier/customer support, support HR function, business development and system enhancement support; and business procurement and legal aid.
Perform additional tasks based on management directive.
Ensure all outgoing information from the department is directed through the relevant individual tasked with the function.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting
Requirements:
UAE Nationalities with Family Book.
Experience:
Fresh Graduate
Knowledge/Skills:
Basic knowledge of IFRS
Intermediate skills in MS Office application.
Intermediate IT skills
