Chief Accountant Required in Dubai A Saudi Government entity which is working on a large scale environmental project. This entity aims to attain the 2030 vision of Saudi Arabia wherein the country is closer to contributing towards a greener and sustainable planet. The organization is planning and implementing effective programs with best global experts on coral reefs and turtle to train the local talent. Furthermore, the entity aims to promote innovation in environmental conservation by driving research, community engagement, strategic partnerships and effective coordination with other stakeholders. Job Description Oversee the accrual accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying any discrepancies or issues. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries to ensure proper financial statement presentation. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards. Ensure financial reports are accurate, reliable, and in line with IFRS requirements. Stay up to date with the latest IFRS standards and changes, interpreting and implementing them within the organization. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures that align with IFRS guidelines. Ensure compliance with IFRS standards in all accounting activities and financial reporting. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate the audit process and address any audit findings. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Extensive experience (8+ years) working in accrual-based accounting roles, with a focus on IFRS standards. Strong knowledge of IFRS regulations, including recent updates and changes. Strong understanding of GL Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Building Chart of Accounts. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
