Chief Financial Controller Required in Dubai Job Brief We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Controller / Officer for one of our esteemed clients. The candidate should have been part of a large government project in the past in Qatar, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. The responsibilities will also include financial risk management. Responsibilities Manage all finance and accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and counsel, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Additional controller duties are necessary. Qualifications We are seeking a minimum of 25+ years of combined accounting and finance experience. Mandatory experience in construction or civil contracting (at least 15 years), and the oil and gas industry (preferred) is required involving large Govt. projects in Qatar. Advanced degree in accounting. CA (Final completed) is a must. Must be an Indian national. Proven working experience as a financial controller or financial officer. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
