Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team based in Dubai. Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping practices, as well as a strong work ethic, are required. You will assist with the day-to-day tasks within the Finance Department and play an integral role in maintaining account information, specifically for Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities:
• Enter transactions into the accounting system for bank, payroll etc. and coding to the appropriate projects/GLs
• Manage data, records and reports by checking for errors and verifying accuracy of information
• Support with the weekly payment run to vendors and initiate payments through the bank
• Manage petty cash & payment card reconciliation
• Create POs and track
• Monitor and manage subscriptions
• Ensure supporting schedules/reconciliations are updated for Balance Sheet items
• Track fixed assets and record adjustments
• Support the AP Accountant and Finance Team as required
Requirements and Qualifications
Degree in accounting, finance or related preferable
Minimum 1-2yrs experience
Knowledge in basic accounting/ bookkeeping practices and processes
Minimum of Intermediate Excel ability
Experience with accounting software Quickbooks would be advantageous
Strong organizational and time-management skills
