Financial Risk Manager Required in Dubai ABOUT THE ROLE ADSS is a successful retail and institutional brokerage based in Abu Dhabi with operations in the United Kingdom. In order to provide a safe and a reliable environment for ADSS to operate and excel, the Financial Risk Manager will support the Risk Specialists in the objective identification, analysis and treatment of credit, financial and operational risks that ADSS is exposed to. This role will assist in developing mitigation plans and providing risk analysis reports to ensure smooth running of ADSS’s operations and alignment with The ADSS Way. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the risk specialists in developing and updating ADSS’s risk management framework and internal controls (policies, procedures, IT systems) including the development of appropriate mitigation plans in order minimize risks more efficiently Assist in the identification of the required risk appetite that will enable ADSS to achieve its strategic objectives including developing all relevant internal and external risk-related documents and identifying factors that should be considered in risk identification and evaluation Research and identify economic and financial trends that may present a risk to the group Support in the identification and detection of credit, financial and operational risks that might affect the achievement of ADSS’s goals Review and monitor the risks on a continuous basis by analyzing data and assessing the risk indicator against the predefined risk criteria and maintaining a risk register Help define the impact of identified risks on the group, function or system and prepare risk portfolio reports to be presented to the management Assist in managing all the risk related tasks as part of ADSS BAU Support in researching new trends for risk management and presenting technologies to be implemented Provide suggestions to systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytics projects EXPERIENCE Up to 4 years working in banking or financial companies with hands on knowledge and experience in financial risk management Experience within brokerage industry is a plus Actuarial background is an advantage SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Excellent coding skills (Python, SQL, VBA, ...) Experience in Large Data management Familiarity with Financial Risk (Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk) Strong Mathematical and Financial Backgrounds, Excellent statistical ability to solve financial problems that require a quantitative approach Forecasts and analysis on financial markets, macroeconomics, and monetary policies THE ADSS WAY We exist to help our clients become better traders.
