Junior Accountant Required in Dubai A Junior Accountant will be responsible for an additional support to the organisation by ensuring that all financial records and reporting are up to standard, updated and maintained regularly. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring that financial information complies with professional and regulatory standards Aligning general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger on a monthly basis, as well as preparing reports Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct Reconciling accounts with the general ledger Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs Follow our company’s established accounting processes Record accounts payable invoices and assist in preparing timely payments to vendors Perform daily and monthly Cash & Credit Card reconciliation Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts Prepare documentation for external auditors Support Operations with timely responses to P&L questions File and pay sales & VAT returns Assist with the month-end/year-end closing procedures of the accounting records Handling of petty-cash fund Assist with other accounts related ad-hoc tasks as and when required REQUIREMENTS AND QALIFICATIONS Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting or in a related specialization is a must At least 2-3 years’ experience in general ledger accounting, or similar In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations Strong communication and analytical skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook Exceptional attention to detail Superb time-management and organizational skills Excellent collaboration and communication skills Strong commercial acumen Analytical thinking Team player ***Please be advised, that we do our best to get back to all candidates.
