Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant located in Dubai. The Senior Accountant will perform financial analysis, prepare financial reports, manage financial ledgers, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The Senior Accountant will also supervise accounting staff and work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Education and Experience

5-10 years experience in related position
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
GCC experience is mandatory.
Experience in Oracle Netsuite is an additional advantage
CMA, CPA qualification is an additional advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Experience in financial analysis and preparing financial reports
Experience with financial ledgers and accounting software
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Experience supervising accounting staff
CPA or ACCA certification is preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting transactions.
Supervise the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
Support month-end and year-end close process
Prepare various financial and management accounts and reports.
Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets, cash flow management.
Ensure compliance with IFRS principles.
Prepare tax returns (VAT and Corporate Tax).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and perform well under pressure
High-level attention to detail with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks within set deadlines
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
Strong Excel skills are a must
