Senior Tax Accountant Roles & Responsibilities The main objective of this role is to support the group head of the Tax team in the UAE and outside UAE Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports. Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions. Ensure you comply with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities. Offer support and guidance during audits. Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden. Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes. Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports. In-depth knowledge of tax accounting and bookkeeping processes. Researching, analyzing and interpreting changing tax legislation in both inside UAE and in GCC. Prepare and manage all documents in line with VAT regulations and other related activities Preparation, validation and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT returns for the UAE entities Ensure collections and payments are done in line with UAE regulations Prepare and manage all documents in line with VAT regulations and other related activities Maintain controls by adhering to the accounting department’s policies and procedures and ensure Tax practices are in compliance with UAE financial reporting statutes, standards and financial reporting best practices. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field. CPA/ CIA/ CISA/ CRMA/ CFE certifications required A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a tax accountant or similar role. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
