Tax Manager Required in Dubai Mandatory qualification: University degree in Accounting / Economics / followed by a Chartered Tax Adviser/ACCA/CPA/ACA/ATT Qualification. 8-10 years post qualification experience in tax reporting and advisory, with a preference for in-house experience with a global multinational. Job responsibilities: Lead and manage the CIT & VAT functions. Manage the tax mapping, reporting process (i.e., preparation, review and evaluation of all CIT and VAT tax schedules, tax packs and related documents received as well as the consolidation of the tax numbers of all DP World UAE Region reporting entities at the Shared Services Department level. Manage all UAE CIT and VAT technical questions as raised and provide recommendations / VAT planning advice as needed, and act as Center of Excellence for CIT and VAT for all UAE Region entities. Apply CIT & VAT laws at each return by accurately validating the returns with the system mapping in a timely manner. Eliminate CIT & VAT liabilities and compliance issues. Maximize efficiencies in working and reporting systems to reduce the CIT & VAT liabilities where possible within the legislative framework. Develop tax strategies to assist UAE Region to be tax-compliant. Identify potential tax planning opportunities. Develop strategies to identify potential system issues that will affect CIT & VAT along with solutions. Manage the change required in the system post any Tax Law updates. Completing responses and schedules in preparation for tax clarifications. Liaise with and manage the working relationship with FTA during routine audits and ad hoc enquiries. Active monitoring of developments in tax legislation. Informing management and staff of developments in tax legislation.
