Job Summary:
The Beauty Therapist conducts a variety of non-medical and non-surgical face and body treatments including laser hair removal, facials, chemical peel, meso therapy and laser treatment using medical devices. The Therapists responsibilities include skin analysis, advising patients/clients about suitable treatments, answering all beauty-related questions, and ensuring all tools and machines are used and sterilized correctly. Job Summary:
The Beauty Therapist conducts a variety of non-medical and non-surgical face and body treatments including laser hair removal, facials, chemical peel, meso therapy and laser treatment using medical devices. The Therapists responsibilities include skin analysis, advising patients/clients about suitable treatments, answering all beauty-related questions, and ensuring all tools and machines are used and sterilized correctly. The Therapist will work closely with the dermatology departments and refer patients when appropriate.
Key Accountabilities:
Evaluating the skin care concerns of a patient
Conferring with a medical doctor to develop the best treatment plan
Applying laser treatment for hair removal and skin tightening
Assisting the medical doctor in all the laser procedures
All documentations related to the laser procedures
Physical assessment of patient, monitoring and recording patient's medical history
Provide pre- and post-procedure care for clients who are undergoing treatment.
Provision of skin care, including facial treatments, and cosmetic make-up services for cosmetic purposes and not for medical diagnosis or treatment of diseases.
Noninvasive non-injectable treatments including:
Topical Micro-needling.
Semi-permanent Makeup and Micro-blading.
Mesotherapy using needleless devices or less than 0.5 mm derma rollers.
Microdermabrasion.
Superficial Chemical Peels.
Hydra-facial
Beauty Therapist may be permitted to provide Laser Hair Removal, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Electrolysis hair removal only with evidence of sufficient and adequate training, and within HCOs approved to provide Laser services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in nursing with a Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Beauty/Laser therapy;
Must be familiar with latest laser machines.
Having a strong understanding of Aesthetics treatment and Medical-grade Skin Care.
With DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi UAE.
Fluent in spoken & written English, Arabic language is desirable, but not essential.
