The HR executive maintains and develops effective internal procedures, handle employee-related issues, completes recruiting and retention efforts, and keeps performance at peak levels. The HR executive will be responsible for identifying problems, finding solutions, nurturing job satisfaction, thorough understanding of HR policy and procedures, involving employee orientation, benefits administration, compensation/payroll preparation, rewards, and conflict resolution.
Responsibilities
Refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR’s existing and recommended systems and processes
Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages
Undertake fully all recruitment efforts for the company, and prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records
Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale
Support departments in the development and delivery of strategic HR plans to fit with the overall business direction
Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, training managers to coach and discipline employees, and counseling employees and supervisors
Champion the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role about the overall vision
Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Build strong relationships with external suppliers, fostering trust and promoting collaboration
Handle confidential matters with discretion
Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Prepare monthly payroll and transactions for OD’s approval.
Serve as the subject matter expert on HR data integrity and audit processes.
Develop and monitor KPIs and prepare quarterly reports
Provide updates, reports, and analysis to the Management Team on a regular and ad-hoc basis
Lead by example and ensure the team are providing a professional level of service and consistently exhibiting Kristina Zanic Consultants Service Standard and Values
Other Responsibilities
Ensure full use of the filing system and databases
Be punctual and on time to commence work
Be responsible for ensuring that a professional, neat, and tidy appearance is portrayed at all times, including leading by example through maintaining high standards of morale and appearance
Assist and work together as part of a team, creating and maintaining a harmonious work environment. Be readily available at all times to deal with problems or concerns
Ensure Company rules & procedures are followed in accordance with the Employee Handbook
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
Minimum of 10 years of experience required in an HR role
Experience working with PeopleSoft is a plus
Understanding federal HR laws
Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically, and strong analytical decision-making skills including the interpretation of data
Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments/management levels
Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and ethical mindset
Proficiency with HR software, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with an intermediate-to-advanced level of proficiency in Excel
Possess strong administrative skills, record keeping, monthly reporting, time management, and organizational skills
Possess a passion for the design industry, motivation, and a team player attitude
