Bakery Commis I Required in Dubai Manage entire line of production in the bakery section Provide timely updates of production progress to the Sous Chef and Head Chef Responsible for preparing, baking, decorating, packaging food items as per order requests and set standards (recipes, technique, taste, size) Oversee the cleanliness of the production areas such tables, floors, doors, machines, tools, ovens, cellars, freezers, shelves, stores Reporting of any deviations in the production process to Sous Chef and Head Chef Organize the mise en place as per Sous Chef and Head Chef Request (dough, cream, sponge, ingredients). Ensure that everything is organized such as the cellar, freezers, stores, shelves as per Head Chef’s standard (expiry date, FIFO, temperature check list) Verify items received from warehouse and double check items for expiry date, type, quantity Others Manage and Control the activities in the pastry/bakery section and report to the Sous Chef and Head Chef Customer related functions Escalate customer complains to Sous Chef and Head Chef Support bakery counter in the shop General Running the daily production under supervision of Sous Chef and Head Chef Practice the Head Chef’s recipes without any changes Assist with Packing and Labelling to meet the shop delivery needs Follow up the standards as per Sous Chef and Head Chef (production, hygiene) Key Requirements:- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. PIC food safety certification is a must. At least 2 years’ experience in bakery department operations.
