Information Technology Technician Required in Dubai Job Description: We are seeking a skilled IT Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the UAE to join our dynamic IT team. As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a reliable and secure IT environment for our employees and clients. Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support to end-users, both in person and remotely, for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions. System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system optimizations, to keep the IT infrastructure running smoothly and securely. Hardware and Software Setup: Install, configure, and deploy computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications for new and existing employees. Network Support: Assist in maintaining the organization's local area network (LAN) and assist with network connectivity and related issues. Data Backup and Recovery: Implement and monitor data backup procedures to ensure data integrity and be prepared for potential data recovery scenarios. Security Management: Collaborate with the IT security team to enforce security protocols, monitor system vulnerabilities, and address security breaches effectively. IT Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for IT assets, procedures, and issue resolutions. User Training: Conduct training sessions or create user guides to help employees use IT equipment and software efficiently. Hardware and Software Procurement: Assist in evaluating and selecting new IT hardware and software, ensuring they align with the organization's requirements. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT-related services and equipment. IT Policies and Compliance: Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and compliance standards, including data protection and privacy regulations. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred but not mandatory with sufficient relevant experience. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an IT Technician in the UAE, dealing with a variety of IT-related issues. Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems. Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), Microsoft Office Suite, and basic network concepts. Certifications: Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or other relevant certifications are a plus. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and team members. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues. Customer Service: A customer-oriented approach with a focus on delivering exceptional IT support to end-users.
