Job Purpose:
A functional manager who leads the IT Infrastructure & Network operations team. Responsibilities include Taaleem-wide systems and information, managing change within the operational IT infrastructure; planning for and mitigating operational disasters; and guiding the creation of operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Key Accountabilities:
Lead the IT operations and manage the IT infrastructure to support and align with the overall business objectives.
Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of technology systems.
Help define the policies and standards; take responsibility for governance and ensure compliance throughout the business.
Research, evaluate, design, and implement technical solutions for business needs.
Maintain and provide technical leadership, guarantee SLAs are met, ensure IT infrastructure 24/7 availability, and overall capacity for recovery.
Document procedures, technical designs, performance reports, problem determination and update ticketing system.
Control budgets and identify cost efficiency opportunities to ensure Taaleem policies and objectives are met.
Negotiate with technology service providers and ensure providers meet technical needs.
Person Specification:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Experience: A combination of technical skills, leadership abilities, and business acumen. At least 5-10 years of experience in information technology and/or management roles.

Technical expertise: a strong understanding of the technologies, including hardware, software, networks, and databases.
Project management: responsible for overseeing IT projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, and managing resources.
Leadership: able to inspire and motivate team members, set goals and expectations, and provide guidance and support.
Communication skills: able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-solving: able to identify and solve complex technical problems, often under tight deadlines and with limited resources.
Business acumen: have a good understanding of the business, including operations, finances, and goals.
Teamwork: able to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
Adaptability: able to adapt to changing technologies and business requirements and be comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity.
