We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable IT Officer to join our esteemed medical organization in the UAE. As the IT Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the information technology systems and infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with industry-specific audits, including TASNEEF, ADHICS, or DOH (Department of Health) regulations. Your expertise in the medical sector and experience with audits will be essential in maintaining a high standard of IT operations and data security.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of all IT systems, networks, hardware, and software in the medical facility.
IT Support: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, including doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and other personnel, to ensure efficient and effective use of IT resources.
Data Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant medical sector regulations and industry-specific audits such as TASNEEF, ADHICS, or DOH. Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive patient data and maintain confidentiality.
Systems Integration: Collaborate with various departments to integrate IT systems and applications, enhancing the efficiency of medical operations and data flow.
Technology Upgrades: Stay abreast of technological advancements and recommend updates or improvements to the organization's IT infrastructure and systems.
Disaster Recovery and Backup: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans and data backup procedures to minimize data loss in case of emergencies.
Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in preparing the IT department's annual budget and monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for staff to enhance their IT skills and promote the responsible use of technology.
Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve IT-related issues promptly, minimizing downtime and disruptions to medical operations.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (4-7) as an IT Supervisor or similar role within the medical sector in the UAE.
Extensive knowledge of medical sector regulations and compliance requirements, particularly those related to TASNEEF, ADHICS, or DOH audits.
Familiarity with healthcare-specific software applications and electronic health record systems.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure, security protocols, and data protection.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Leadership qualities and experience in managing a team of IT professionals.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization.
