Job Summary:
As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our IT systems. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to our employees, assisting them with hardware and software issues, troubleshooting network problems, and maintaining system security. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in supporting Office 365 and have a strong background in cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS. Experience in supporting remote users would be a plus.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-line technical support to end-users, promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems and offer timely solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and network devices.
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the integrity and security of data, systems, and networks.
Assist in managing user accounts and access controls for various systems and applications.
Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware, software, and licenses.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends and advancements in IT support and cloud technologies.
Provide training and guidance to end-users on utilizing IT systems and tools effectively.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role, with a focus on supporting Office 365.
Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure and AWS.
Experience in supporting remote users and managing remote access technologies.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Windows and macOS platforms.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect would be advantageous.
