Location: Dubai, UAE Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software. Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. Monitor system performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations. Collaborate with the IT team to define system requirements, standards, and best practices. Train users in the proper use of hardware or software. Establish and maintain user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges, and security. Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Update and maintain documentation for internal procedures, system changes, and installations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in system engineering or a related field. In-depth knowledge of system design, installation, backup, and recovery. Strong understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, WANs, LANs, and commonly used Internet protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
