What You Will Do
Develop a technical in-depth understanding of the complete range of Allegion mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic products, both ANSI and EN standards.
Provide positive customer experiences through phone, email, IM, and other interaction types.
Analyze customer requirements and develop customized recommendations based on product and application knowledge.
Assist customers with product specifications and applications.
Identify the skill level of the customer and explain complex solutions in ways the customer can understand and successfully implement.
Perform analysis of field situations based on verbal or written customer input.
Coordinate with factory technical support teams to resolve inquiries as required.
Develop a working knowledge of all catalogs, service manuals, and price books.
Provide support to Specs Team, Customer Care Order Entry, Sales, Project Management, and other departments within the organization as required.
Conduct product training for distributors and internal employees.
Support the demand creation team by participating in the Lunch n Learn with architects and consultants by providing product presentation knowledge through training and specification processes.
Assist the Demand Creation team by actively engaging in Lunch and Learn Sessions with Architects, contributing valuable information and support thru presentation.
Document all problems and assist in their continued resolution, providing customer support and managing the process through effective CRM management and team communication.
Maintain excellent industry/territory knowledge by reviewing and understanding market data of the competitive activity. Adapt to change in the marketplace.
Provide technical specifications for the architectural community, including code compliance for new construction projects.
Maintain awareness of all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.
What You Will Need To Succeed
Job Knowledge/Technical Skills/Qualifications
Experience and clear understanding of the architectural hardware and electro-mechanical/electronic security industry.
Minimum of 10 years of door & hardware industry service experience.
Ability to work with various internal groups in a virtually managed, collaborative team setting.
Tertiary qualification in architectural/civil/mechanical engineering degree.
Candidates holding door & hardware industry professional qualifications from DHI, and GAI would be preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF editors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
