Technical Support Specialist Required in Dubai
1. Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows OS and Microsoft Office platform and any other authorized desktop applications
2. Performs Install , upgrade, and support remedial repairs and troubleshoot for printers, computer hardware and any other authorized peripheral equipment
3. Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment
4. Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards
5. Performs work in compliance within specified warranty requirements
6. Returns defective equipment/parts to maintenance inventory, documents customer repairs, maintains and restocks assigned parts inventory to insure proper spare parts levels
7. Develop trends by monitoring and analyzing incoming calls, problems and support requests
8. Desktop policies and procedures, for example licensing policies, use of laptops or desktops for personal purposes, USB lockdown, etc.
9. Designing and agreeing standard desktop images
10. Desktop service maintenance including deployment of releases, upgrades, patches and hot-fixes
11. Design and implementation of desktop archiving/rebuild policy (including policy relating to Cookies, favorites, templates, personal data, etc.)
12. Third-level support of desktop-related incidents, including desk-side visits where necessary
13. Support for connectivity issues (in conjunction with Network Management)
14. Configuration control and audit of all desktop equipment (in conjunction with Configuration
Management and IT Audit).
15. Assigning and managing IP addresses, Domain Name Systems (DNSs) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) systems
Experience/Knowledge & Skills
1. Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems and standards.
2. Ability to operate tools, components and peripheral accessories.
3. Software and Hardware Troubleshooting
4. Windows Platform, Windows 2008/2010 experience
5. Microsoft Office Platform support
6. Symantec Enterprise Backup Software
7. Would be added Advantage if Working knowledge of ITSM Toolsets, AD, Exchange 2013/2016/2019 and remote control tools are there.
